Domain name registration rules

A domain name is registered and the right to use it is temporarily granted after the domain name has been applied for, the application has been reviewed and the right to use the domain name has been paid.

Only a name that is free at the time of application may be registered.

A domain name may not be:

a. A trademark, name or generally accepted abbreviation of such a name registered by another organization. The Registry reserves the right to postpone the registration of such a domain name or to request additional evidence of the applicant’s rights to the domain name.

The right to use the same domain name may not be granted simultaneously to several legal entities or individuals.

b. The name of a geographical place or object. The names of cities, villages or parishes are allowed to be used by their local governments.

c. A personal name.

d. A well-known name or a name, the use of which may infringe the interests of third parties.

e. An obscene or offensive word or expression.

If an available domain name does not meet the requirements, it will not be registered.

Domain registration is performed by SIA HOSTNET after payment of the invoice. In the event that the selected domain is no longer available at the time of payment of the invoice, the client can receive a refund or choose another domain name.
